Job Overview We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis Chef to support the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. This role involves food preparation and basic cooking under the supervision of a Senior Chef. You will rotate across different kitchen sections and help maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook food as directed by the Senior Chef Measure ingredients and portion sizes accurately Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation Operate kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers Clean food preparation areas, utensils, and surfaces Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation (FEFO) Follow hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards at all times Conduct temperature checks, food labeling, and proper storage Assist with receiving and storing deliveries Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned kitchen section Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures Comply with all company health & safety policies Attend trainings and workshops as required Minimum Qualifications & Requirements Education Essential: Basic Hospitality or Catering Training Foundation Degree in Culinary Arts Management Desirable: Diploma in Hospitality & Catering or Professional Cookery HACCP / Food Hygiene Certification Certificate in International Cuisine Experience Essential: Previous kitchen training or apprenticeship Desirable: Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen Skills Essential: Basic cooking and knife skills Knowledge of food preparation (sauces, salads, hot dishes, pastry, roasting) Familiarity with kitchen equipment Ability to communicate in English Ability to work under pressure and multitask Teamwork skills in a multicultural environment Desirable: Experience in multiple kitchen sections (vegetable, meat, fish, pastry, etc.) Strong attention to detail Good time management and physical stamina Passion for cleanliness, food safety, and creativity Apply Now Miral Experiences
