    We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Commis to join our friendly and professional kitchen brigade. The ideal candidate should have excellent cooking skills and experience as Commis. We are a busy Wellness Resort located just steps away from the stunning Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth with an excellent reputation for our food. Along with our ‘Brassarie on the Bay we have our new ’Nourish’ Restaurant recently opened with great reviews and we want somebody to help drive our vision of great food in a great setting. It is a new open plan kitchen which allows the right person to show of their skill and passion for cooking.
    Our new, kitchen brigade is friendly and hardworking. We are looking to expand as we open new areas and revenue streams. The perfect candidate will have an eye for detail and will be passionate about maintaining and developing our already high standards. We are looking for someone who is happy to hit the ground running, calm under pressure, passionate about cooking, works well in a team and is able to use their experience with aptitude and consistency. Punctuality will also be key in this role.
    The hours will be varied and will include some early and late shifts; weekend and holiday working is normal.

  • Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients according to recipes.
  • Cook and present dishes in accordance with restaurant standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service.
  • Support senior chefs in supervising kitchen operations and training new team members.
