Description

Position: Commissary – Meat Associate Joseph’s Founder is a third-generation butcher, so you can imagine our Meat Department is a point of emphasis in our stores. Our Meat Associate is a key player in our success as they prepare the finest cuts of beef to our handmade sausages. Routine Tasks: * Maintain Joseph’s standards for product freshness and sanitation * Cut, bone, or grind pieces of meat * Weigh and wrap cuts of meat * Package and label products * Store meats in refrigerators or freezers at the required temperature * Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards * Operate knives, grinder, scale, mixer, and other Meat equipment * Assist with other tasks as assigned Qualifications: * At least 18 years of age * Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems * Ability to interpret and follow instructions * Ability to work well with others * Must be able to speak Spanish * Meat cutting experience preferred * A passion for serving people Work Schedule: This position requires schedule flexibility, including availability to work nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays, as production needs dictate. A Meat Associate performs their tasks primarily in the Commissary department. Work involves walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting products weighing up to 80 pounds. Work is done inside a Meat preparation room and Meat refrigerated cooler, you will be exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Work also includes frequent interaction with fellow employees.
