Commissionaire / Shuttle Driver - Part Time (Please note that you must already have work rights in New Zealand to be considered for this role.) We are looking for a Part-Time Commissionaire / Shuttle Driver to join our Concierge team at Cordis Auckland. This is a joint role, with Commissionaire duties as the main focus and Shuttle Driver support required on other rostered days. You will help create a warm first impression at the hotel entrance, support the smooth flow of the forecourt, assist guests with arrivals and departures, and safely transport guests when required. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guest interaction, takes pride in service standards, and is confident working in a busy hotel environment. What you’ll be doing As a Commissionaire, you will: * Welcome and farewell guests in a warm, professional, and personalised way * Create a positive first impression at the hotel forecourt and entrance * Assist guests with luggage, directions, transport enquiries, and general hotel information * Support the smooth flow of traffic, vehicles, pedestrians, taxis, and valet movements in the forecourt area * Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and safety of the hotel entrance and forecourt * Liaise with Concierge, Bell Desk, Front Office, Guest Relations, and other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are communicated clearly * Ensure valet cars, taxis, and shuttle arrangements are ready when requested by guests * Provide helpful local knowledge about Auckland, hotel facilities, and services & as a Shuttle Driver: * Safely drive the hotel shuttle or other hotel vehicles when rostered or required * Provide a friendly, professional, and comfortable transport experience for guests * Assist guests with entering and exiting the vehicle, including luggage support where needed * Maintain good knowledge of local routes, traffic conditions, and key Auckland locations * Ensure shuttle and vehicle logs are completed accurately and on time * Check that the shuttle is clean, well-presented, and ready for guest use * Report any shuttle, vehicle, safety, or guest issues promptly * Assist with Porter duties, lobby support, or Concierge operations during quieter periods * Maintain high standards of grooming, professionalism, and guest service at all times Our Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role, you will have: * Must have a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and a valid P Endorsement License * Confidence driving safely and professionally in Auckland traffic * Previous experience in a hotel, valet, porter, concierge, driving, transport, or guest service role would be an advantage * Strong customer service skills and a warm, approachable communication style * A high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail * The ability to stay calm and organised in a busy forecourt environment * Good local knowledge of Auckland, or a willingness to learn * Strong grooming and presentation standards * A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team * Must have flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required Benefits Cordis is not just about delivering a memorable experience for our guests, but also creating an amazing experience for you.
