As part of our ever-expanding work force, we are looking for a Relief Security Guard - Lethbridge

POSITION SUMMARY

A Relief/Casual Security Guard may be called in to provide security coverage during peak times, special events, or when permanent security staff are unavailable. The candidate will patrol designated areas, monitor security cameras, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment.

SKILLS, ABILITIES & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must possess a valid AB Security License
  • Must be fluent in the English language – written, verbal and reading skills.
  • Must possess valid first aid or be willing to obtain it.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong organizational, time management and priority setting skills.
  • Strong computer skills ability to learn technology devices (phones, equipment)
  • Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
  • Physically fit with ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities and incident report writing.
  • Former RCMP/Military experience and Military family member (Strong Asset)
  • Education and/or background in Law Enforcement (Strong Asset)
Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to detect and deter suspicious activities.
  • Monitor security cameras and alarms to identify potential security threats.
  • Respond to emergency situations and alarms promptly and appropriately.
  • Secure premises by locking doors, windows and gates as needed.
  • Report any security incidents, accidents or disturbances to the appropriate authorities.
  • Enforce security protocols and procedure to ensure the safety of people and property.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of security activities and incidents during shift.
