This is a six-month secondment, covering for a colleague on a career break. The role is focused on transforming services for adults with learning disabilities and neurodiverse people. It involves leading projects, research, collaborating with stakeholders and improving financial sustainability. Key skills required include project management, communication, and analytical abilities, with a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.

The Mental Health & Learning Disabilities team has a work programme focused on transformation, linked to national and local strategic objectives. The postholder will:

  • Lead on particular projects, work collaboratively in an integrated health and social care system to deliver programmes that will achieve transformational change

Identify barriers to health equality for people with learning disabilities and neurodiverse adults.

  • Coordinate co-production and other engagement with the BLMK system in order to achieve transformation plans.
  • Attend meetings as necessary, including taking notes, reporting to the team, and chairing meetings.
  • Support clinical leads, including research, data capture and analysis.
  • Complete performance reports and templates on behalf of the team, including reporting to NHS England
