JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

To provide a comprehensive and efficient support service to the Commissioning Manager and work closely with lead contractors to ensure that a building or construction project meets the operational requirements of the client. Put together reports via word and excel that systems have been commissioned correctly Provide a record for operations, maintenance and future works. Create a benchmark for future testing, maintenance and re-commissioning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience performing day to day commissioning activities onsite and in the office.
  • Clear comprehension of the commissioning, re-commissioning, and retro-commissioning process.
  • Understanding of the construction process, drawing/specification documentations, construction codes, and industry standards with the ability to analyze data familiarity with design, installation, planning, and maintenance of systems. On site construction experience is beneficial, but not required.
  • Experience (minimum of 2 years) in the operation and troubleshooting of systems, HVAC, power, lighting, communications, fire, building envelope, plumbing, energy management control systems, and security systems.
  • Ability to work independently, “self-lead”, and as a part of a team with the capability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and prioritize.
  • Demonstrates the technical management and communications skills required for competent performance.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Procore, Aconex, Google Drive, Drop Box, Controls BMS preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • ASHRAE comprehension with certification preferred.
  • Building Commissioning Association membership preferred.
  • OSHA training certification required.

    Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • To provide a comprehensive and efficient support service to the Commissioning Manager/Lead Commissioning Agent.
  • Communicatively work closely with lead contractors to ensure that a building or construction project meets the operational requirements of the client.
  • Assemble interim and final reports via Word and Excel of commissioning activity describing that systems have been commissioned correctly or incorrectly to clients.
  • Provide a record for operations, maintenance, and future works.
  • Create a benchmark for future testing, maintenance, and re-commissioning.
  • Visit locations during the construction period to inspect progress and ensure installation and programming guidelines are being followed.
  • Perform on-site commissioning tasks including point-to-point testing and verification of proper programming for all EMS controlled equipment.
  • Conducts design reviews on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Building Envelope drawings for project owners.
  • Conducts submittal reviews.
  • Witnesses, directs, evaluates and documents field commissioning activities, (construction observations, start-up and close out verifications).
  • Conducts functional verification process for MEP/FP systems Writes and compiles commissioning reports and related documentation based on established standards.
  • Participates in on-site/virtual meetings with project team members.
