Commissioning Assistant Role Profile
We are seeking to recruit a Commissioning Assistant to work within Strategic Co-Operative Commissioning. The role is primarily to support our procurement function, working alongside commissioners to ensure we have the right services in place to support children and adults with health and social care needs.
The post holder, on successful completion of their probationary period, would have the opportunity to study for a formal qualification in procurement as part of an apprenticeship, alongside understanding the wider role of commissioning.
The role will involve supporting routine procurement enquiries, monitoring compliance with procurement policy and working with the team on procurement projects to deliver new contracts and services.
Strategic Co-Operative Commissioning commission social care, health and wider wellbeing provision for the Council, including care placements and support and prevention services.
