NEP Middle East is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Control Software Support and Commissioning professional to provide training, deployment, and support for our cutting-edge broadcast software solutions. This role will be integral to ensuring the seamless integration of NEP’s Software Defined Networking and Broadcast Control System within operational engineering teams worldwide.
As part of a global agile development team, you will use your practical experience in complex broadcast systems to support and commission solutions, ensuring alignment with current operational practices. Your expertise will help troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner. You will also provide frontline support, develop instructional documentation, and conduct workshops to train staff effectively.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced programming and operation of Production Switchers/Vision Mixers.
  • Expertise in programming and operation of Record Replay devices.
  • Hands-on experience in programming and deploying IP equipment based on ST2110.
  • Superior fault-finding skills for troubleshooting equipment failures.
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP and Networking principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to train and support operational engineers effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Provide worldwide operational software support through Slack, service desk tickets, and Opsgenie notifications.
  • Work on a shift-based schedule, including weekends, to meet operational support requirements.
  • Develop and maintain training documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Conduct training workshops for staff on software usage and best practices.
  • Implement and maintain toolsets including Git, Kubernetes, Lens, and Grafana.
  • Work closely with Broadcast Engineers to enhance the programming and operation of control systems, technical workflow solutions, and signal flow management within OB and IP facilities.
  • Contribute to infrastructure security to mitigate risks and protect company systems.
  • Drive adoption of standards, guidelines, and best practices within the team.
  • Provide ongoing training to ensure adequate support levels and redundancy.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, participating in continuous learning and training.
  • Support the development and deployment of new software programs and features.
  • Coordinate with front-end developers, engineers, and DevOps teams for seamless system integration.
  • Travel as required for software deployment and team meetings.
  • Manage vendor and third-party supplier relationships.
  • Liaise with clients as needed to provide technical support and guidance.
