OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning, testing, and starting up automation systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
This position requires some travel within the UK and occasional international trips, depending on project needs. Some weekend work may also be necessary to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with Siemens control technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for customer support and training.

Responsibilities
  • Commission, run-in, and optimise specialist machines (with a focus on KEBA and NC control technology).
  • Provide ramp-up support for specialty machines and production lines.
  • Perform software validation and execute acceptance tests.
  • Carry out customer acceptance tests and complete related protocols.
  • Implement and optimize processes both in-house and at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and repair customer automation systems.
  • Independently conduct service operations (repairs, maintenance, modifications, etc.).
  • Perform safety-related acceptance according to specified V&V documents.
  • Support technical documentation and report commissioning activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
