A rapidly growing data center provider is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to join its dynamic team delivering high-performance colocation and hyperscale projects. This role offers the chance to work on mission-critical infrastructure at the forefront of digital transformation, supporting the deployment of scalable and resilient data centers across multiple sites.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in commissioning or startup of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure, particularly in colocation or hyperscale environments.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, backup power, and control systems.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.
  • Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification preferred.
  • Certifications such as CxA, LEED, or related credentials are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The Commissioning Engineer will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and documentation of commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Working closely with project teams, vendors, and third-party commissioning agents, the successful candidate will ensure systems are tested and delivered to meet design intent and operational standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support all phases of commissioning (Level 1-5) across MEP systems, BMS, EPMS, and critical infrastructure.
  • Review design documents, equipment submittals, and commissioning scripts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in functional performance testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and verification processes.
  • Assist with issue tracking, punch list management, and closeout documentation.
  • Work with construction teams, engineering, and operations to support smooth project turnover.
  • Ensure compliance with commissioning protocols, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed reports, test data, and records throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
