REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in building commissioning, building systems, or facilities
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, or Construction related
  • Knowledge of HVAC, energy codes (IECC), or LEED commissioning
  • Interest in or working toward commissioning certifications (e.g., CBCP or BCA CxP)
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE and commissioning tools/software
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Curious, hands-on learners with a passion for sustainability
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

As part of our Sustainability Services team, you’ll ensure building systems—from HVAC to lighting to controls—are installed and operating as designed. You’ll be there from project kickoff through completion, seeing how systems work in the real world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to guide building projects from planning to performance.
  • Visit job sites across the U.S. to test systems and troubleshoot performance and installation issues.
  • Review system designs and equipment submittals to ensure they align with the owner’s goals.
  • Create testing procedures and commissioning plans tailored to each project.
  • Use hands-on field equipment to perform system testing and diagnostics.
  • Assemble project closeout documents.
