JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical Commissioning Engineer is part of a cross-discipline project team, responsible for the commissioning tasks required for successful and on time completion of parcel system upgrade and integration projects. They work closely with their engineering peers and electrical installation teams.
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of project commissioning tasks. These include deployment and checkout of PLC/HMI/SCADA code, field support, debug/troubleshooting, commissioning, and overall adherence to customer and governing agency specifications. The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will, in most cases, be collaborating with a team of engineering peers and mentored by a team of controls and project engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school, or two years of applicable experience.
  • Experience with PLC and HMI hardware and software.
  • No applicable experience required.
  • Preferred experience includes:
  • PLC experience on Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms.
  • HMI/SCADA experience with one or more of PanelView, Proface, Wonderware, Indusoft, or Ignition.
  • Working proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Prior experience in the conveyor, material handling or related industries.
Responsibilities
  • Willing to develop a working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and project scope.
  • Assists with the development of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs.
  • Completes FAT commissioning requirements and project deliverables.
  • Commissioning and start-up efforts, including travel, weekends, and overtime.
  • Shares responsibility for ensuring the quality of goods and services to both internal and external customers.
