Job Description Carry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning / commissioning of the equipment. Be responsible for handing over a fully operational system for acceptance by the customer. Ensure health and safety procedures and standards are followed on site. Ensure all Health and safety documentation is filed, maintained and updated on site. Ensure commissioning schedules, handover and witnessing documents are updated, maintained, completed and filed/issued to the project manager prior to project completion. Carry out factory acceptance testing when required, Site acceptance testing and customer witnessing. Ensure sites are cleared of equipment and materials/products prior to handover/completion. To undertake any other duties as requested by senior staff. Carrying out site surveys to support project teams where required Compile RAMs where required Observing & complying with health and safety regulations. Participating in safety reviews when needed. Maintaining Continuous Professional Development Qualifications Minimum Qualifications/Experience: HNC or equivalent in Engineering. At least 5-years working within the Power Industry. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal and ability to communicate effectively. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Computer literate with experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook. Full UK Driving license. Has good working knowledge of basic protection relays and functions. Is capable of performing tests such as Contact resistance (Ductor), Insulation resistance, AC dielectric withstand tests, CT/VT primary and polarity checks, relay secondary injection, scheme checks and CT analysis. Capable of working with protection relays and making minor changes to settings and configs as and when required. Installation tests on distribution Transformers. Occasionally helping senior commissioning engineers on major projects. Additional Information Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year.
