Job Title: Commissioning Manager – Electrical

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential

  • HNC Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Experience
  • Strong engineering background with Test and Commissioning experience

Desirable

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
  • Knowledge of the Shipyard Installation Test Programme, its phases and associated documentation
  • Knowledge of Strategic Weapon operations and procedural adherence
  • Good understanding of the SWS/SWSS electrical systems beneficial
Responsibilities
  • Provide support and delegate for the Senior Commissioning Manager Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) – Electrical
  • Integration of multidiscipline commissioning teams, resolution of engineering conflicts between disciplines, systems and capabilities
  • Liaise with Operations Management as appropriate to ensure collaborative working to deliver the installation/test programme
  • Support to Strategic Weapon Test Group (SWTG), UK/US Technical Exchanges, Working Groups and other key meetings
  • Interface with Strategic Weapon Organisation Engineering Team to resolve technical issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MoD customer and US Department of Defence (DOD SSP) and their contractors to meet customer requirements, and lead in resolution of major issues
  • Ensure the Project Plan is implemented through business tools to enable conduct in the Shipyard
  • Represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements
