Position Title:COMMISSIONING MANAGER Location: HOUSTON, TX FLSA Class: EXEMPT Responsible to: VP OF CONSTRUCTION Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Commissioning Manager to oversee a team responsible for the planning and execution of commissioning activities across a range of projects in the power generation sector. The ideal candidate will also bring relevant experience from related industries, including refineries, natural gas compressor stations, substations, and data centers. This office-based role requires moderate travel to jobsites before, during, and after the commissioning stage. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Lead and manage a team responsible for all aspects of commissioning for industrial projects, ensuring safe, timely, and successful completion. * Coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineering teams, and vendors, to align project objectives and resolve issues. * Develop, review, and interpret Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules to monitor project timelines and deliverables. * Utilize commissioning software packages such as CxAlloy, Hexagon, or similar tools to track progress, document activities, and ensure compliance with project requirements. * Prepare commissioning plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with industry standards and client specifications. * Oversee site visits to jobsites for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and post-commissioning activities, providing technical guidance and support as needed. * Identify and mitigate risks associated with commissioning processes and ensure adherence to safety protocols. * Develop reports and presentations to communicate plan status and risks to project teams and executive leadership. * Train and mentor junior staff and facilitate knowledge transfer across teams. Other Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline. * Minimum of 5 years of commissioning management experience in the power generation industry. Experience in refineries, natural gas compressor stations, substations, or data centers is highly desirable. * Proven working knowledge of CxAlloy, Hexagon, or other industry-standard commissioning software packages. * Strong ability to read, interpret, and manage CPM schedules. * Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills. * Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic environments. * Willingness to travel as required for project needs. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to travel 30-50%, varied by project phase  The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.  All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
