Role scope  The Electrical Commissioning and Start Up Technician is responsible to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. This role will be under general supervision to perform a variety of commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of various equipment.   The Electrical Commissioning and Start Up technician will be responsible for the following tasks: Details / responsibilities  * Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and with all safety aspects in the execution of work * Ensure procedures and permits are followed safely * Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of MCC's, VSD’s, Distribution Panels, Motors, Lighting and small power * Inspect, test, adjust and commission equipment to satisfy appropriate governing standards. * Work within OEM guidelines. * Demonstrate high-quality fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously. * Observe and supervise Vendor staff working on or near the facilities as required. * Carry out Cause and Effect Testing * Attend system walkdowns * Complete rectification works as required * Close out Punch items * Liaise with other discipline teams to undertake commissioning and start-up activities safely. * Feedback on Dynamic Commissioning Plans * Assist in equipment performance checks * Perform electrical equipment testing and monitoring * Perform electrical isolations / deisolations of equipment * Maintain commissioning records through CCMS generated FTR’s and Dynamic Commissioning Procedures. * Maintain the housekeeping of the site * Provide technical advice on all electrical equipment. * Ensure detailed shift handovers to shift colleagues are undertaken.  * Share learned knowledge with other members of the Electrical Commissioning and Start Up Team Qualifications  * Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role   * Cert III in Electrical Craft and demonstrated experience * EEHA Certification and demonstrated experience * Current First Aid Certificate & LV Rescue * Nationally accredited training and licenses in Working at Heights preferred * Current Full Queensland Electrical Licence Behavioural Competency  At Kent, you can expect to be working within our established procedures and processes, with some support from your colleagues.
