Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commissioning Mechanical Technician to join our team in Luanda, Angola. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and organized commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment in our industrial facilities. Conduct comprehensive mechanical commissioning activities for new and modified equipment and systems Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules Perform thorough inspections and tests to ensure mechanical systems meet design specifications and performance criteria Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the commissioning process Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and operations personnel Prepare detailed commissioning reports, including test results and recommendations Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local Angolan requirements Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities and equipment performance data Contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes and procedures Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical commissioning, preferably in industrial settings Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, compressors, and HVAC equipment Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics Demonstrated expertise in commissioning procedures, protocols, and best practices Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations in industrial environments Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and specialized commissioning software Relevant technical certifications (e.g., ASME, API) are preferred Understanding of local regulations and standards in Angola Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Willingness to work in various industrial settings and potentially travel to different project sites within Angola Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus Additional Information Work cycle : rotations 5x5 weeks
