The primary function is focusing on managing and tracking commission-related activities. The role will serve as the custodian of commissions expenses, ensuring all processes are accurate, timely, and compliant. A key role in supporting our financial advisors by maintaining reliable payout systems and data integrity. This position offers opportunities for learning and advancement in a supportive environment.       Major Duties and Responsibilities * Track and monitor commissions, including deductions, payout rates, timing, and overall expenses to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. * Maintain and update payee information in our systems, verifying details such as contact information, tax IDs, and banking details to prevent errors in disbursements. * Act as the primary custodian for commissions expenses, reconciling records, identifying discrepancies, and preparing reports for review by the Assistant Controller. * Assist in the preparation and processing of commission statements, ensuring timely payouts and resolving any issues related to calculations or delays. * Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Accounting, Compliance, and Advisor Services) to gather data and support audits or inquiries related to commissions. * Utilize tracking tools and software (e.g., Excel, accounting systems) to generate reports on commission trends, expenses, and performance metrics. * Perform routine data entry, validation, and maintenance tasks to uphold the integrity of commission-related databases. * Support ad-hoc projects, such as process improvements or system updates, as directed by the Assistant Controller.       Business Continuity Essential Job Function:  This position is deemed an “Essential Staff” position for the purpose of our Business Continuity Plan "BCP". This distinction means you are expected to be fully prepared to perform essential functions of your job remotely as deemed applicable and necessary by your manager and the Company upon declaration of a BCP event.       Competencies Required * Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. * Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, internal teams, and auditors. * Time Management: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities by being organized and keeping on top of important time sensitive tasks. * Quality Focus: Able to manage the efficiency, accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the work * Integrity & Confidentiality: Must uphold high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of financial information. * Analytical Thinking: Able to identify and synthesize information from diverse sources. * Information seeking: Ability to research and problem solve any discrepancies.           Qualification Standards Education, Licenses, Work Experience, Etc. * Bachelor's degree preferred.  Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience/education). * 0 - 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or administrative roles preferred, but not required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
