Commissions Specialist Location: Mohali / Chandigarh, India Shift: Nighttime (U.S. Hours – 8:30 PM – 5:30 AM IST) Type: Full-time, On-site About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and analytical Commissions Specialist to take full ownership of our company’s multi-tiered commissions system. You’ll calculate, audit, and process payouts for hundreds of sales representatives, leads, and managers across multiple programs — ensuring every number is verified, every report reconciled, and every payout is on time. This role requires strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, impeccable attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of sales performance, payouts, and incentive structures. You’ll be the bridge between sales, operations, and accounting — ensuring accuracy, transparency, and accountability in the commissions process. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end commissions processing for all sales and operational roles. Pull data from CRMs (Insightly, Ascent, or others) to calculate eligible payouts. Apply complex commission matrices and tiered structures for different roles (SP1s, Leads, Regionals, VPs, Dealers, etc.). Validate all deals and ensure status accuracy before payout (Closed → Installed → Funded). Perform cross-checks between CRM, payroll, and accounting data for precision. Generate commission reports and dashboards for management review. Handle commission adjustments, clawbacks, and escalations professionally. Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for all payouts. Work with accounting to reconcile payouts and ensure timely disbursement. Collaborate with HR and Payroll teams to implement commission structures and policy updates. Continuously improve and automate commission calculation templates and workflows. Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in commissions, payroll analytics, or finance operations. Strong understanding of sales compensation plans and performance tracking. Expert in Google Sheets / Excel (nested formulas, lookups, pivot tables, array formulas). Familiar with CRM systems (Insightly, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar). Experience reconciling data between systems (CRM ↔ Payroll ↔ Accounting). High attention to detail and commitment to 100% accuracy. Excellent English communication skills for clear cross-team correspondence. Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential financial data responsibly. Experience with solar or U.S.-based sales organizations is a plus. KPIs / Success Metrics 100% on-time commission processing and reporting.
