Req ID: 134375 Remote Position: No Region: Asia Country: Singapore State/Province: Singapore City: Singapore Summary This position will manage a team responsible for the sourcing, qualification and day to day management of all parts and suppliers in the Capital equipment segment of Celestica. This team have overall ownership for all supplier relationships including T&C, Pricing, contracts etcDetailed Description Manages a group of commodity management. Manage pricing, T&C, Supplier capacity and OTD etc etc Manage a team of Supplier Development Engineering. Sourcing, developing and qualifying new suppliers, developing new capabilities at existing suppliers. Driving cost reduction activities at suppliers etc etc Leads quarterly price negotiations for call commodities in the segment Establishes corporate target and provides direction to managers in areas of global pricing, terms and conditions, supplier programs and monitoring of supplier performance. Has regular interaction and participates in negotiations with senior executives of industry leading multinational companies. Develops strong relationships with key supplier senior management. Provides targets and direction in worldwide product sources process. Provides direction in the development and execution of procurement strategies for the group of components or services including competitive benchmarking, technology direction, supplier analysis, supplier development and selection and pricing strategies for group of complex components or services. Manages the implementation of strategic SCM initiatives. Maintains materials cost responsibility. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies 10+ years relevant experience in commodity management Bachelor's degree in related field (Commerce, Engineering or Economics, MBA), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum technical knowledge, Understand GD&T, Able to read a technical drawing etc etc Must be a collaborator with the ability to work across functions to ‘get the job done’ Ability to keep many balls in the air at once and be able to focus on strategy while ensure the tactical work is done elsewhere Educational requirements may vary by geography. Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities in industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends. Expert knowledge of Celestica’s global supply chain including strategic policies and objectives. Excellent understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes. Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and financial analysis. Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Ability to interface with many international sites to establish strong working relationships and cooperation.
