We are seeking a commercially driven Commodity Manager to lead the strategic sourcing and management of industrial components across a global supplier base. This role will oversee approximately $50M in annual expenditure, ensuring optimized supplier performance, sustainable cost savings, and supply continuity. The successful candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, a global mindset, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to deliver long-term value. Demonstrated success driving value in Precision Machining and Raw Materials (Aluminum and Steel Categories) is required. You will make an impact in this role by: Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement & Sourcing Develop and implement commodity strategies within the Precision Machining and Raw Material Commodity groups to align with business objectives and growth plans. Lead competitive sourcing processes, supplier benchmarking, and global market analysis. Manage supplier selection and qualification in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Assigned key commodities and also act as project manager on other strategic initiatives outside of key assigned commodities, Supplier Relationship & Performance Management Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to maximize total value. Build strong partnerships with key global suppliers to ensure performance, innovation, and risk mitigation. Drive supplier scorecards, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Cost & Value Creation Deliver annual cost savings targets through strategic negotiations, supplier rationalization, and process improvements. Identify opportunities for total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction. Support financial planning and forecasting with accurate spend data and market intelligence. Risk Management & Compliance Proactively manage supply risk across global regions, ensuring continuity of supply. Monitor trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements affecting the supply chain. Implement dual sourcing strategies where appropriate. Internal Collaboration Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to align sourcing initiatives with operational needs and budget goals. Provide commercial and technical insights on supplier capabilities, market shifts, and cost trends. Support new product launches by securing supply and favorable commercial agreements. Requirements To be considered for the Commodity Manager role, you must have the following minimum qualifications: Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain or related field . 7–10 years of procurement, sourcing, or commodity management experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to manage $25M–$50M+ in global spend. Strong commercial negotiation skills with a proven record of driving cost savings and value creation. Knowledge of global supply markets, sourcing strategies, and contract management. Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, etc.). Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Key Competencies Commercial & financial acumen. Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
