Description
Lead and develop a team of regional commodity buyers in mechatronics
Develop and execute regional mechatronics procurement strategies focused on cost reduction, quality improvement and risk management in the supply chain
Collaborate with technical teams, engineers and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including the financial health of suppliers, capacity constraints and geopolitical issues, and develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply
Negotiate and secure cost, quality and delivery capabilities, including escalations, develop and maintain agreements with suppliers
Qualifications
Bachelor degree or comparable qualification with several years of professional experience, ideally supplemented by Master´s degree or MBA
At least 7 years of experience in the areas of procurement, supply chain management or materials management, with at least 5 years in a management position in the automotive industry
Proven success in developing and implementing global or regional raw materials strategies, as well as negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships
Excellent leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of building and managing high-performance teams
Experience in a matrix organization in a global or regional environment
Fluent business English; knowledge of other languages (German, Spanish or Eastern European languages) an advantage
Proficiency in the MS Office package and knowledge of SA
