Type of Requisition: Regular Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Secret Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Secret Public Trust/Other Required: None Job Family: IT Infrastructure and Operations Job Qualifications: Skills: Cisco Routers and Switches, Networks, Site Surveying, Switches (Inactive), Telecommunications Certifications: None Experience: 3 + years of related experience US Citizenship Required: Yes Job Description: HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals May serve as a team or task lead WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Technical training/certs and 1+ years of experience Secret Clearance IAT II cert (Sec+) or DoD 8140 equivalent WHAT CAN GDIT OFFER YOU? This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
