Within the FSTM, the Department of Life Sciences and Medicine (DLSM) is dedicated to excellence in research and education across Life Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions. DLSM research activities combine basic and translational, wet lab and computational approaches, to address critical questions in human health and disease, with a focus on cancer biology. In addition to our research efforts, a key mission of DLSM is to train the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals. We offer state-of-the-art teaching programs in Life Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, and other Allied Health Profession.

Responsibilities
  • Generate visibility for the department in its 3 key areas: research, teaching and outreach
  • Draft, edit, and/or design internal newsletters, press releases and other internal and external communication campaigns
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the communication teams at the Faculty and central levels
  • Update the department’s web pages and manage social media channels
  • Proactively develop a content plan for digital communication channels
  • Support the conceptualization, organization, execution, and promotion of scientific and outreach events
  • Keep communication materials up to date
  • Conduct regular qualitative and quantitative analyses of selected communications activities for benchmarking and process improvement
