POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Communications Systems Engineer to lead the design and coordination of structured cabling and low-voltage systems on complex federal projects. The ideal candidate will be a proven technical lead with deep knowledge of ICT standards and the ability to drive designs from concept through delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current RCDD certification
  • Demonstrated experience with federal agency design standards (such as VA, USACE, DHA, IHS, or DoD)
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and BIM coordination tools
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and client interaction skills

Responsibilities
  • Lead structured cabling and ICT system design from planning through delivery.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and narratives in line with BICSI, NEC, and federal standards.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and security teams to ensure integrated designs.
  • Provide Construction Period Services, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits.
  • Conduct QAQC reviews and uphold technical quality for discipline deliverables.
  • Mentor junior staff and support development of internal standards.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to define requirements and guide solutions.
