Ockham Communications specialises in reputation management, crisis communications and public affairs. We are looking for a persuasive communicator, analytical thinker and excellent writer to join Ockham Communications as an Account Manager.
The successful candidate will need to understand public policy, the legislative process and the political landscape. They must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, juggling various tasks and meeting tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, humanities, law or similar. Postgraduate degree preferred.
Ideally five years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple projects, and stick to deadlines.
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

Writing: Devising and producing various pieces of written content including press statements, opinion pieces, speeches and social media posts.
Client management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including managing client meetings and ensuring all deliverables are met.
Campaign development: Taking the lead on the development and execution of strategic communication plans that align with client goals.
Media relations: Working with the internal team to pitch stories to media outlets, secure coverage, and proactively manage media relationships to enhance client visibility.
Reporting and analysis: Managing the monitoring and analysing of campaign performance with the assistance of the internal team, and presenting reports to clients on a regular basis.
Team management: Management and support of Account Executives to ensure client deliverables are met.
Business development: Assisting with lead development and new client pitches.
