Description

The Strategic Communications Advisor provides forward-thinking and practical communications support to the department responsible for advancing safe medical care through education and training. This role focuses on helping the department meet its objectives by offering expert guidance in marketing, promotion, and strategic messaging. The advisor plays a key role in developing and delivering communication strategies across multiple platforms, including digital, social media, and print.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities to increase the visibility and impact of the department’s educational programs and resources. The advisor fosters strong working relationships across teams and occasionally with external partners to maintain consistent messaging and branding throughout the organization.
This is a hybrid role based out of their Ottawa office (3-4 days a month).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • 5+ years of experience in progressively senior communication roles.
  • Proven experience managing and measuring the success of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Skilled at working with individuals at all organizational levels while handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in a membership-based or nationally focused organization is an asset.
  • Familiarity with principles of adult education is considered an asset.
