Description:

Job Title: Communications Advisor
Location: Preston, Frimley or Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £42,000 + depending on experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • Proven experienced in stakeholder management/business partnering within a communications role
  • Competent writer / journalist
  • Evidence of delivering results and meeting customer requirements
  • Knowledge of effective communications practices and channels

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the core principals and techniques of marketing communications
  • Defence sector knowledge
  • IPR of CIM qualified
  • Digital and videography skills

Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance and support to the functions on Communications Strategy deployment, including embedding communications activities.
  • Assisting managers, and sometimes leads, in development and effective delivery of communications which enhance business performance.
  • Being responsible for the creative input / the production of materials (print / digital) collateral for campaigns and initiatives.
  • Supporting the Communications Manager in the development and delivery of effective and integrated communications plans, leading on some of the simpler aspects
  • Building effective and robust communications networks through customer relationship management to support delivery and improve effectiveness of communications
  • Writing and sub-editing communications for bulletins, newsletters, intranet, internet, and local media
  • Contributing to a range of effective public relations activities using appropriate communications channels to build positive relationships
