JOB DESCRIPTION:

Candlelighters of El Paso Area is seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy, artistic, and mission-driven individual to serve as our Communications and Brand Coordinator. This vital team member will be responsible for the voice and visual presentation of the agency and brand to the community. Candlelighters’ work is conducted in English and Spanish, and serves families from El Paso, Ciudad Juarez, Las Cruces and rural communities across Southern New Mexico.
The Communications and Brand Coordinator will lead efforts to amplify our story, mission, and impact across digital platforms and to the media, while maintaining essential digital and printed marketing assets to support our programs and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 4+ years experience in digital communications, website support, and nonprofit communications.
· Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite), and CMS/website management (e.g., WordPress).
· Experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
· Excellent storytelling, writing, and communication skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Photography and video editing skills a plus.
· Passion for nonprofit work and alignment with Candlelighters’ mission.
· Commitment to work in a team environment with positive work culture that is mission-driven and always in service to our Candlelighters kids and families.
Candidates must be legal to work in the United States and must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

· Digital Communication & Storytelling
o Manage and maintain all social media channels (content creation, scheduling, monitoring, engagement).
o Develop and execute digital storytelling campaigns that highlight families, programs, and community impact.
o Maintain and update the organization’s website with Candlelighters program events and fresh, mission-aligned content.
o Maintain and update fundraising and marketing assets that assist with storytelling and showcases mission delivery.
o Create flyers, emails, and graphics that promote programs, camps, and special events.
o Create calls to action that drive donations, volunteerism, and community involvement.
o Document events and family/program highlights through photo, video, and written content.
· Program & Mission Support
o Support the delivery of programs as needed, especially those with digital or storytelling components.
o Represent Candlelighters at community events and with partners, both digitally and in person.
o Collaborate with staff and leadership to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
