    Council is embarking on an exciting journey to enhance our public image, maintain our corporate brand, and build community awareness of our services, projects, events, and activities.
    To help us achieve this, we are looking for a talented and experienced communications and engagement professional who will develop, implement and promote the organisation’s strategic corporate communications and community engagement frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and reviewing Council’s corporate website and intranet to ensure that the information contained on both platforms is current and engaging.
  • Acting as Council’s primary news media contact and liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Preparing a wide range of written communications material, including media releases, website and social media copy, advertisements, corporate publications, brochures, newsletters and speeches to effectively promote Council’s services, projects, events and activities.

ABOUT US

The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is a diverse organisation employing over 120 staff across a wide variety of fields who deliver a range of services to the local government area encompassing Blackville, Caroona, Currabubula, Pine Ridge, Premer, Quirindi, Spring Ridge, Wallabadah, Werris Creek and Willow Tree and the almost 8000 residents who reside there.
The council is situated in Quirindi, the heart of the Liverpool Plains, 65km from Tamworth and about four hours North West of Sydney, famous for its stunning landscapes and rich, highly productive land and is the perfect place to call home.
