The Refugee Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees into the broader Montreal community. Since 2015, we have developed six departments offering direct services that address legal, social, economic, academic, health, and housing needs. Our approach combines individualized support with advocacy to defend migrant rights and advance long-term social justice and inclusion. We are currently looking for a Communications and Visual Content Officer who is creative, motivated, and socially engaged. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing engaging content to promote our services, events, and advocacy efforts. In close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator and the rest of the team, this person will help increase the organization’s visibility, engage stakeholders, and strengthen support for our mission. Key Responsibilities * Create and design graphics, posts, and other content for all platforms. * Edit audio and video content, ensuring consistency with the organization’s visual identity and standards.  * Publish content across multiple platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Brevo.  * Maintain and update the website as needed. * Coordinate with all departments of the Centre to respond to visual content creation needs. * Participate in workshops, trainings, and organizational events to capture photos, while ensuring compliance with visual identity guidelines. * Contribute to the podcast team by attending weekly meetings and creating visual content. Qualifications * Strong written and visual communication skills required in both English and French * Third language considered a strong asset * Solid knowledge of social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn * Proficiency in Canva (experience with other design tools is a significant asset) * Familiarity with the following tools is an asset: Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, InDesign, Illustrator, Descript, Mailchimp, etc. * Knowledge of website management is an asset (platform: WebFlow) * Willingness to learn new tools and platforms * Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive * Creative * Adaptable and able to work quickly when needed Job Details * Duration: One-year contract renewable, with a 6-month probation period * Entry level position
