ABOUT THE POSITION

REISA is seeking a Communications Assistant for a part-time position based primarily in our Saint-Léonard office. The Communications Assistant will work under the guidance of the Communications and NPI Coordinator, supporting the creation and implementation of communications materials and campaigns. Tasks will include graphic design, copywriting for social media, assisting in the development of communications campaigns, and completing light administrative duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing studies in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (including internships, paid work, or volunteer experience).
  • Excellent written and spoken English; intermediate written French.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of social media strategies and media relations.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Excellent understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Communications Coordinator in content creation, copywriting, and developing social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the team to create current, engaging, and accessible content.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as managing emails, scheduling, and record-keeping.
  • Design graphics and visuals using Canva.
  • Update events and job postings on REISA’s website using WordPress.
  • Occasionally contribute to the production of newsletters.
  • Collect and compile social media analytics and statistics.
  • Draft and edit copy for social media materials.
  • Post and manage social media content according to the organization’s communications strategy.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for the social media calendar and scheduling.
  • Maintain and update media contact lists.
