Description The Communications/AV Manager is a full-time position. The position is responsible for overseeing all parish communications and supporting audiovisual needs to ensure clear, consistent, and mission-aligned messaging. Theis role manages weekly parish publications, digital communications, and social media platforms while collaborating closely with parish ministries. The position also supports audiovisual operations during liturgies and major parish events and requires regular weekend availability.. Requirements · Produce and manage the weekly parish bulletin, including content collection, layout, editing, and deadlines · Create and distribute a weekly parish email and other electronic communications as needed · Serve as the primary point of contact for Parish Ministries, gathering and organizing information for publications · Maintain and manage parish Facebook and Instagram accounts, ensuring consistent branding and timely content · Design graphics and promotional materials using Canva, or similar program for print and digital platforms · Ensure all parish communications reflect the mission, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church Email & Digital Systems Manage the parish email communication platform (e.g., Flocknote, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar) Maintain email lists and assist ministries with effective digital communication when needed Audiovisual & Liturgical Support Provide AV support for 4pm Vigil Mass, Sunday 9:30am and 5pm Masses, including sound, microphones, livestreams, or projection as required Assist with AV needs for special liturgies, parish events, and seasonal celebrations Coordinate with clergy, musicians, and liturgy teams to ensure smooth technical execution Qualifications & Skills Proficiency in Facebook, Instagram, and Canva Working knowledge of an email communication manager/platform Basic to intermediate audiovisual knowledge (sound systems, microphones, livestreaming, projection, etc.) Strong written communication, editing, and organizational skills Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects in a faith-based environment Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with staff and volunteers Faith & Ministry Requirements Strong understanding of the Catholic faith, teachings, and parish life Ability to communicate respectfully and accurately within a Catholic liturgical and pastoral setting Willingness to support the spiritual mission of the parish Schedule & Availability Regular weekday hours with mandatory attendance at weekend Masses Flexibility to work evenings or additional hours for major parish events and liturgical seasons Minimum Qualifications · Must have knowledge of Catholic Church teachings and structures. Active, practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church. High School, commercial, vocational or technical school graduate required. Three years’ experience working in a related position.
