Alberta Canola is seeking a Communications & Events Intern to join our communications team for a one-year fixed term contract. Reporting to the Manager of Communications and working closely with the Communications & Events Coordinator, the intern will assist with content creation, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities that support Alberta Canola’s strategic goals.
This role plays a key part in advancing Alberta Canola’s communications and outreach efforts. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive communicator, eager to gain hands-on experience in marketing, public relations, and event planning within Alberta’s agriculture sector. QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in a post-secondary program in communications, PR, marketing, journalism, events or related field
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
• Familiar with social media platforms and digital tools
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally
