We are currently recruiting a Communications Executive – Entertainment to be part of our Communications team. In this key role, you’ll be driving our talent, publicity and communications storytelling efforts across BINGE Entertainment, and providing great talent a platform to tell new and different stories!
You will be responsible, alongside a passionate team – for enhancing the public reputation of BINGE. You will lead on projects and work closely with talent, ambassadors, production partners and industry leaders to earn media attention, create content and manage events to reach and influence new audiences.
Our focus in publicity is driving innovative content-first, multi-channel storytelling that fuels the feeds of Australian entertainment enthusiasts. This role is critical to building our brand into the next phase of its evolution and growing our success in a fast-changing, highly competitive local streaming landscape.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY
- 4+ years’ in communications or publicity in the Australian landscape – Entertainment/ TV highly desirable
- Ability to write press releases, plan and execute media strategies, ability to pitch to outlets autonomously
- Publicity and talent experience, understands how to navigate the world of publicity from talent to schedules to interviews to junkets
- Confidence and humility to manage talent and oversee media opportunities such as press days, content shoots and red carpets
- Attention to detail – You are juggling a lot of balls but you are able to ensure no stone is left unturned. The attention to detail you have is paramount especially when it comes to talent/media logistics
- Project management expertise, you’ll have the skills to manage campaigns / projects from end-to-end
- Highly organised and accountable, you are self-motivated, possess integrity and able to work autonomously across multiple teams
- A Bachelor degree in Journalism, PR, Communications or similar
Responsibilities:
- Publicity and Relationship Management: In partnership with the team, you’ll issue media alerts, pitch stories, and secure coverage. You’ll know the media and influencers we need to connect with and will consistently network to maintain these relationships.
- Managing Distribution / Studio Partners: You’ll handle day-to-day PR activities with distribution/studio partners including managing BAU media releases, sending out screeners, responding to interview requests, and managing international junket nominations for allocated titles
- Production Support: Work with lead publicists to support local productions, coordinating editorial shoots, pitching press junkets, assisting with red carpet events, and managing logistics for launches. Lead BAU for our international content slate and manage relationships with NBCU, Sony e
- Talent Management: Manage relationships with talent directly, as well as with their agents and publicists, ensuring smooth coordination for press days and media appearances, and handling logistics for key talent
- Media Management: Oversee media events and content capture to promote business priorities and strengthen our media strategy
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with production, social, and marketing teams to integrate key messaging across various touchpoints, contributing to subscriber growth and retention.
- Stakeholder Relations: Develop relationships with ambassadors, influencers, and external stakeholders, helping to connect consumers with our brand through innovative, non-traditional methods.
