Description

Together we build opportunity! At Habitat for Humanity Red Deer (HFHRD) we support affordable home ownership in Central Alberta for families that would otherwise never own their own home. If you have a passion for working in the social profit sector and want to be a part of the team that helps Central Albertans build better lives through home ownership, then our small but mighty team is for you!
HFHRD is looking for an experienced Communications and Fundraising Coordinator to join our amazing organization. This individual leads all fundraising initiatives (corporate, individual, and campaign-based), donor stewardship programs, and comprehensive public-facing communications including digital media, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement. This role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, media outlets, and community partners while creating compelling content that advances Habitat’s mission and increases public awareness of affordable housing needs. The position requires creativity, strong relationship-building skills, and demonstrated ability to meet fundraising targets while maintaining excellent communication standards.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

· Post-secondary diploma or degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related discipline
· Minimum 2 years proven experience in fundraising, donor development, or revenue generation
· Preference will be given to individuals with:

o Experience in non-profit sector, particularly housing or community development
o Graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms
o Event planning and management experience with budget responsibility
o Grant writing experience with successful funding track record
o Experience working with volunteers and coordinating team-based activities
Salary starting at $45,000/ year, negotiable with experience.
