Job Details Job Location: Omaha, NE 68105 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Bachelor's Degree (Four-Year Degree) Travel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Category: Development The Communications Generalist is an execution-focused role that supports OneWorld’s Marketing and Communications efforts across content production, social media, events, and brand implementation. The position plays an important support in maintaining OneWorld’s brand presence across digital platforms, assisting with social media content and engagement, monitoring online reputation, supporting fundraising and community events, and helping ensure marketing materials and promotional items are organized and readily available across the organization. The role focuses on high-quality execution, coordination, and implementation of established plans and priorities. In collaboration with the Content Writer and the Visual and Digital Communications Specialist and under the direction of the Associate Director of Communications, this role assists in the creation, coordination, and distribution of written and visual marketing assets consistent with OneWorld’s brand standards to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, Marketing, or related field and/or equivalent experience required. 2. Two or more years of experience in writing, marketing, and graphic design in a health care or social service environment preferred. 3. Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required. 4. Exemplary verbal and written English communication skills, including public speaking, required. Spanish proficiency a plus. 5. Demonstrated time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills, with close attention to detail. 6. Demonstrated ability to proactively and creatively solve problems. 7. Ability and willingness to travel to all OneWorld locations as well as other locations within the community in order to promote the clinic, maintain marketing material stock, and attend events, which may require some weekends and evenings. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
