Job Description
Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Communications Lead to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis.
The Communications Lead is to support the business with external messaging and internal engagement priorities as the business delivers into the Enterprise. The role will support Future Programmes, Engineering & Technology and Human Resources.

KEY SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Media relations experience
  • Understanding of the Defence industry
  • Excellent at building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships both externally with media contacts and internally across all levels of the organisation
  • Strong writing skills, with broad experience of drafting press materials, developing engagement campaigns and accessing/launching new channels internally.
  • Experience creating and executing short, medium, and long-term communications and media relations plans
  • A high level of exposure of using digital and other media outlets

ROLE DETAILS:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Measurement of internal channels and develop/test new channels
  • Point of contact for Group Internal Comms and Enterprise Comms
  • Media training for relevant leaders
  • External reactive crisis comms, including collaboration with Group Comms on external messaging
  • Design, create and deliver integrated communications campaigns that support ambitions across all communications channels
  • Online web presence for sub-pages
  • Manage, schedule and populate social media channels with relevant and timely content
  • Develop messaging and support in person at key events
  • Work with the HR Team and external stakeholders on the recruitment and STEM strategy.
  • Manage, coach and support embedded, rotational Business Apprentices
  • Delegated responsibility for External messaging/Incident Management Team in absence of Head of Marketing & Comms and Communications Manager
