Description

As Communications Manager EMEA (m/f/d) you facilitate a state of the art internal and external communication for all businesses and functions in the EMEA region. You protect and strengthen the reputation of the company and its leadership team and support positioning Brenntag to all audiences. You will work with a welcoming and open-minded, international team that encourages creativity and personal responsibility.

Your Role

  • Prepare and execute regional-specific internal and external communication measures and activities in line with global and regional strategies
  • Support planning, creation and implementation of internal and external communication activities for Brenntag’s two global business divisions, Brenntag Essentials and Brenntag Specialties, as well as Brenntag Business Services
  • Run internal projects regarding communication services, performance and communication IT
  • Engage in digital tools and perform social media activities
  • Optimize internal and external channels and formats to grow communications reach and impact
  • Organize regional/local events of the company (townhalls etc.)
  • Support line management and peers and deputize if needed

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Journalism, Communication Science, Public Relations or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a communication department, a comparable corporate department, preferably in an multinational B2B company, or PR- / Media agency or as journalist
  • Ability to plan, adapt and implement the standard set of internal and external communication formats
  • Willingness to work in a small team of two closely with the Director Communications EMEA and embedded into a greater team of a dozen
  • Experience of working with and advise different stakeholders (e.g. senior leaders) while working with international and diverse teams
  • Good project management experience as well as experience in handling and controlling internal and external service providers/agencies
  • Creativity and ability to proactively develop own ideas, be self motivated in delivering communication products and results
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in an effective manner, combined with strong writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
