About the Role: The Communications Manager at Elsevier China will work closely with Global Communications Team and Greater China’s key stakeholders, to elevate the company's presence and strengthen brand reputation in research via strategic media engagement and creative initiatives in Greater China. This position will also support Greater China Management Team to drive the company’s inclusive, engaged, agile and sustainable culture in Greater China, effectively manage and execute on company internal communications to engage employees around our culture and priorities with clearly defined core messaging, and proactively lead employee engagement programs to achieve organizational excellence. Responsibilities: External Communications Media Networking: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with top-tier media, journalists, KOLs, and influencers to secure high-impact earned media opportunities, address media inquiries proactively and effectively. Content Development: Create engaging, audience-centric content to support strategic goals: key messages, Q&As, and press releases. Media Initiatives Execution: Partner with GSN, REGGA, Marketing to execute flagship (media) initiatives enhancing visibility and stakeholder engagement. Media Analysis: Track and analyze media coverage, translating trends into actionable strategies to enhance communication effectiveness. Internal Communications Internal Comms Strategy: Develop company culture and engagement strategy for Greater China that ladders up to global internal comms strategy and is aligned local priorities. Internal Programs Execution: Work with Greater China Management Team and HR to manage and drive internal communications programs. Global Materials Localization: Localize global announcement, managements' messages, and support global initiatives local landing. Brand Communications Brand Assets Management: Ongoing and regular update and develop Chinese-language company materials and documents to ensure and reflect an accurate description of our brand, business sectors and culture. Requirements: A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field is preferred. 5~8 years Communications experience in corporate environment. Proven capability of working effectively across functions, managing multi- tasks with strong coordination capability. Experience coordinating with internal biz partners, communications professionals, vendors and agencies. Excellent writing, editing, copywriting, consolidation and proofreading skills both in Chinese and English. Good project and process management skills. Self-motivated, independent, results-driven and teamwork spirit, ability to handle multiple priorities.
