(NYSE “HAYW”) is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position is based in Charlotte, NC and expected to work four days in office, one day remote.
We are seeking a proactive and creative Communications genius to join our team and support our Sr. Director of Communications in developing and implementing communication strategies that build trust, promote transparency and enhance employee engagement. You’ll be instrumental in message and story development, communications technology platforms, design, employee communications, effective change management, community relations and social media.
Responsibilities:

Communications Planning:

  • Support communication strategies that align with Hayward’s mission, vision and values
  • Manage logistics and support routine communication deliverables (i.e., Town Halls, org announcements, internal storytelling, leadership conference) to strengthen culture and deliver on company goals
  • Develop and disseminate communications calendars
  • Monitor communication tools/channels (e.g., Sharepoint sites, mailboxes, blogs, newsletters, etc.).

Content Creation and Distribution:

  • Write, edit and review engaging content, including articles, presentations, videos, newsletters, digital signage, talking points and social media platforms
  • Design in various platforms, like Canva, to produce materials
  • Use storytelling to spotlight and recognize employees
  • Manage (write and publish) employee portal content, infrastructure and improvement
  • Develop and maintain distribution list / accounts for direct communications
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in all communications by following AP Style

Change Management and Employee Engagement Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to support change communication efforts
  • Support engagement activities such as culture surveys and events, reinforcing open channels
