Juul Labs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to join our U.S. External Affairs team. The ideal candidate will have experience in communications with a background in U.S. policy or political media functions. This role will involve developing and executing communication strategies, managing media relations, and supporting internal communications efforts. The role will report to the Vice President of External Affairs and is based in Washington, D.C.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Notable experience in corporate, government, or large non-profit communications.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communication strategies.
  • Expertise in media relations and managing press inquiries.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Facility managing social media and digital communication tools.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with tobacco harm reduction issues.
  • Experience working with internal communications.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications in a policy or political media role required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement communication plans to support company objectives.
  • Manage media inquiries and build relationships with journalists.
  • Create and edit press releases, talking points, and other communication materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and analyze communication effectiveness.
  • Support internal communications initiatives and employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Assist in developing content for various communication channels, including social media and websites.
