Marabu Airlines is a growing airline operating in a dynamic and international environment. As we continue to expand and adapt, we are looking for a Communications Manager (maternity leave cover) to lead and strengthen both internal and external communications, supporting company culture and strategic clarity across our remote operations. The Communications Manager will drive employee engagement, support leadership communication and act as the internal lead for external communications in collaboration with our PR partners in the German market. Main Responsibilities: Lead, coordinate and manage all communications projects across the organisation, ensuring alignment with company strategy, leadership priorities and brand direction Develop, implement and continuously improve the internal communication strategy to strengthen engagement, transparency and clarity across teams Advise the board and leadership team by providing communication support on key business topics and employee sentiment Ensure timely, clear and consistent messaging across all internal channels Monitor employee feedback and overall organisational tone to help guide leadership decisions Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and our external communications team, particularly regarding the German market Prepare internal communications, leadership messages, company announcements and crisis response materials as needed Support change management initiatives by ensuring employees are informed and engaged during transitions or organisational changes Coordinate and manage internal communication tools (e.g., newsletters, SharePoint, townhalls, etc.) Collaborate closely with all departments to ensure alignment, transparency and effective information flow across the organisation Oversee brand consistency across all internal and external materials, acting as the ‘brand guardian’ to maintain a unified identity Use AI tools confidently in daily work to support content creation, research and workflow efficiency Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field 5+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications; knowledge of PR and media relations is a strong plus Proven ability to manage sensitive communications and support leadership during times of change Experience leading communications projects end-to-end, from planning and content creation to execution and evaluation Experience in building, developing and maintaining a brand – ensuring consistent tone, messaging and design across channels Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; German is a strong asset Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect across departments and act as the central point of contact for communication topics Agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to change and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Open-minded and proactive in adopting new tools and technologies, including AI, to enhance communication practices Experience with crisis communications and change management communications is a strong advantage Understanding of the aviation industry and remote team dynamics is a plus Applicants must have the legal right to work in the European Union (valid work permit or EU citizenship required) Inspiring and truly unique experience at the newest Estonian airline Additional 7 days of vacation per year Stebby allowance Staff discounted flight tickets (myID travel) Development and career opportunities Flexible working environment Opportunity to work with a dynamic and multicultural industry-leading team A modern office in Ülemiste, filled with exciting office events
