Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position with responsibility for creating and driving firmwide, sector and service line communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning team where you’ll have the autonomy to plan, produce and deliver engaging, results driven content and campaigns.
This role requires a confident and experienced comms professional who can quickly integrate into the team and maintain ongoing projects. Previous law firm experience is highly preferred.
Mills & Reeve operates a hybrid model of working so while there can be an element of working from home you’ll also be required to be based in one of our offices for at least half of your working week. Travel to other offices may also be required at some stage.
This role can be based out of our Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester or Norwich office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content creation

  • Lead and execute high-impact content marketing campaigns
  • Liaise with relevant partners, lawyers, business development (BD) and knowledge learning and development teams to create a broad range of content and campaigns, including reports, videos, legal briefings, blogs, vlogs, podcasts and email updates
  • Write copy for a range of marketing materials, including hard copy publications, email newsletters, brochures, and reports

Digital

  • Work closely with the head of digital marketing and websites manager to continuously improve our digital comms offering to the firm
  • Support search engine optimisation activities through online PR and monitoring materials for appropriate inclusion of target keywords
  • Manage regular updating of the content on the firm’s website and other digital channels

PR

  • Manage relationship with our external PR agency
  • Liaise with relevant lawyers to agree talking points, write comment pieces, press releases and other editorial content such as feature articles
  • Help external PR agencies and journalists can access legal spokespeople in a timely manner

Brand

  • Monitor materials for adherence to the firm’s brand guidelines and house style
  • Ensure the firm’s brand is communicated effectively and consistently
  • Manage the development of internal templates in line with brand guidelines
