Description Position Summary: OVD Insurance offers paid internships to active students interested in careers within the insurance industry. OVD’s summer internship program presents an exciting opportunity to gain insight into the realm of Communications and Marketing within the insurance industry. Participants will benefit from comprehensive training, practical business experience, and the chance to network with leading experts and seasoned professionals. This program is designed to enhance the academic knowledge you have acquired in your studies, enabling you to apply your learning to real-world situations. Location: Grand Rapids, MI Here’s what you’ll do: Support the organization and execution of various company events, such as business summits, community volunteer initiatives, and the annual summer picnic. Contribute to the company’s social media presence by assisting in the management of platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, while also assisting in the creation of engaging visual content, including videos and images, to enhance brand visibility. Support the management of marketing newsletters targeted at prospective and current clients of Insurance Producers. Help gather and potentially assist with curating content for blog posts, collaborating with team members to ensure a steady flow of relevant and engaging articles that resonate with our audience and support our marketing goals. Participate in a dedicated internship project that culminates in a presentation, allowing for the application of learned skills and providing an opportunity to showcase insights and recommendations to the team. Requirements Here’s what you’ll need: Students should be currently enrolled in a higher education institution and entering their junior or senior year in college. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administrations, Management, or relevant degree preferred. Must be a current student through the duration of the intern program. Ability to type quickly and accurately on a keyboard (Required) Microsoft Office proficiency (Required) Able to work onsite for the duration of the internship Internship Date Availability: May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026 Drive. Ownership. Accountability. Passion. Extremely strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate “technical speak” in way that end users at all levels can understand. High energy work ethic with ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Ability to work collaboratively with others.
