Overview Intrepid Solutions has a need for a Communications / Network Engineer to support our US Army TENCAP client as they enable the Army to rapidly exploit and influence national capabilities and architectures in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities The Communications Engineer shall provide technical guidance, documentation, and oversight of the following tasks throughout the system development life cycle: Designing and developing communication systems Analyzing and troubleshooting communication network issues Coordinating with stakeholders to meet communication needs Implementing new technologies and upgrade existing systems Ensuring network security and integrity Creating technical documentation and user manuals Performing network performance analysis and optimization Conducting research to stay updated with industry trends Providing technical support and maintenance Evaluating and selecting appropriate hardware and software Managing project timelines and deliverables Training and mentoring junior engineers OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This position anticipates standard work hours, Monday-Friday and will operate 100% onsite. TRAVEL: Up to 25% OCONUS travel. Qualifications CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI clearance required. We are unable to provide sponsorship of initial clearance or upgrade of existing clearance. EDUCATION: Desired: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field +10 years of work experience OR 15 years of work experience SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of with satellite, cellular or other digital communications systems Familiarity with 5G and IoT technologies Strong understanding of communication protocols and network architectures Proficiency with network analysis tools and software Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience with CFE (Common Framework Environment) preferred Benefits WHAT WE OFFER: At CIS Secure and its associated companies, Intrepid Solutions and Services and Darkblade Systems, we believe in promoting fair and transparent pay practices.
