ABOUT THE TEAM

The Strategic Transport team is seeking a dynamic and creative communications officer. You will have a key role in developing and executing communication strategies for transport project, creating engaging content to promote transport initiatives and work with our communities on project delivery.
Your office base will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away. The role will involve site visits and travel. However, we offer flexible working, including home working for which IT equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your primary role will be to deliver communications and engagement plans for our City Region Sustainable Transport Settlements (CRSTS) projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with strong content creation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential, along with experience in community engagement and public outreach. Building relationships with stakeholders, including residents, suppliers and colleagues across the council, is second nature to you. Knowledge of transport and sustainability issues is a plus.
