  • THE OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented Communications Officer to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth flow of internal and external communications, enhancing our efficiency and supporting the wider team to deliver impactful communications.Our ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, thrive on planning and coordination and have a good eye for design to help deliver effective communicators.This is an exciting time to join the Communications Team as we embark on a new business strategy to grow the amount of money that is invested in tackling social issues and inequalities in the UK. You will be an integral part of a purpose-driven team committed to making a positive impact. You will have the opportunity to shape how we communicate, strengthen our brand and support our mission; whilst growing your own skills in a supportive environment.
  • WHAT YOU WILL DOThis will be a varied role, delivering across a range of channels. Key areas will include:
  • Sourcing, editing and creating on-brand visual assets (images, GIFs, videos) to support our communications.
  • Editing, maintaining and uploading content on our website using our Content Management System (Wagtail).
  • Supporting the design and delivery of email marketing communications.
  • Measuring performance of communications, using analytic tools to effectively report on our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Supporting the development of resources and training to effectively integrate communications across the wider organisation.
  • Supporting the planning and delivering of social media content to increase our reach and engage audiences.
  • Monitoring social media channels, identifying opportunities for engagement, sharing feedback with the team and gathering insight on our audiences and trending topics.
  • Organising and maintaining effective filing system for documents and brand assets for the Communications team, including collating and storing records for compliance purposes.
  • Supporting ad hoc requests from colleagues and third parties for brand assets.
  • Support with the production of high-quality PowerPoint presentations and help to development and design slide decks
  • WHAT YOU WILL BRINGESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:Experience and competency in:
  • Copywriting
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Design packages (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud particularly Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Video/audio editing tools for creating video content
  • CMS platforms
  • Email marketing platforms – Campaign Monitor is a plus
  • Google analyticsDESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience of working within either social sector or finance sector.
  • Understanding of social investment or impact investing.
  • Data-driven thinking, comfortable with marketing analytics tools and social media monitoring software (Google Analytics, Sprout Social, etc).SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES
