  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications or similar and demonstrated equivalent experience.

We are excited to welcome an experienced Communications Officer to join our dynamic and results-driven team. You will play a crucial role in delivering communication campaigns and events to support an inclusive approach to communications. This role also helps support the development of communications, including supporting communication for the NSW Health Awards, events in recognition of National Sorry Day and sponsorship. This includes managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and the development of engagement resources, policies, coordination of meetings and events.
Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $110,266 - $122,058 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a dedicated Communications Officer, you will:

  • Support the delivery of best practice communication (including researching, writing and editing) through the use of policy, guidelines, and toolkits.
  • Draft communication materials for different channels and audiences, and facilitate approvals of content, creative, messaging and videos.
  • Deliver well-organised and coordinated support for stakeholder engagement activities, including sponsorship arrangements, VIP visitors, international delegations and events for National Sorry Day.
  • Draft and develop strategic communication plans and content to raise awareness and promote projects and events.
  • Support the development and implementation of NSW Health policies and corresponding resources, as well as provide relevant advice and guidance to stakeholders across the system.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
